This is not a complaint really as much as it is just an observation by comparison, it may also shine a light on my ignorance of web/tech stuff, but is it possible to get a new server, or whatever to make this forum be a little faster?

Does it cost something?

If so maybe we could try a poll to see if enough people would want to contribute to the purchase of whatever is needed to make it a bit faster.

Dunno, am I just too impatient since I go to other much faster forums all the time that I'm now a spoiled brat?? ;)

( I chose to post this here rather than in the general section in case a discussion that was not desired, got started and gets going on and on as a result of this, so I figured it would be better decided upon here first before any further mention is made.)

Are you having problems accessing the forum?

I don't know what the plans are at this time, but I think the forum will eventually be migrated to the same servers that host Just Helicopters. Should lead to a performance increase. Also keep in mind the speed of the forum is significantly affected by usage on your internet providers network.

No, I have always thought it was much slower than the several other bulletin boards I frequent, then when the SSH thing happened it got even slower. I have cable internet and no matter the time of day, this board is slower than others.

I was just wondering if it were possible to make it faster maybe.

Interesting...

As I said, I don't have a timetable and I haven't been told anything concrete, but the board will probably be migrated to the Just Helicopters servers in time. This should help with any speed issues.
