rodrop Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Roll off throttle, close throttle, throttle chop... am I missing anything. Can anyone tell me the difference between these terms? Thanks alot ahead for your help.. Quote
Anonymous Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 the end result is the same so they are really all the same thing. im assuming were talking in an R-22. close throttle is on the start-up and shut down check list and on start up you want to verify that the throttle is closed so you dont over speed a cold unloaded motor when it fires. and on shut down when you disengage the clutch you want to make sure the throttle is closed at the belts loosen and unload the motor. again to prevent an over rev. throttle chop.= slamming the throttle closed in a fast snappy motion.(not advised) rolling the throttle off= a progressive gradual roll approximately over the course of a second.(advised) Quote
