sebbo Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Hi I have two questions concerning the Robinson R-22 helicopter. 1. When the Cylinder head temperature gage stops working while in flight, and shows the same as when shut off, what does that mean? 2. How much max. takeoff power can we pull when we are in a R22 Beta, at5000ft. pressure altitude and and OAT of 18degree celsius. And what does theFull Throttle on the Chart mean? Thanks in advanceBest regards Quote

Thanks in advanceBest regards1 - Circuit is open (broken wire or sensor), or the Warning lights circuit breaker has popped. 2. - Probably around 23.2 Inches MAP. The full throttle means that your throttle is wide open, so if you pull any more pitch you will start loosing rotor RPM. Quote

Thanks in advanceBest regards Your warning lights are also on the same circuit. So if your cylinder head temp gage is not working, you have also lost chip lights, low fuel, governor off, alternator light.... You still have low RPM light and horn, but losing the rest is not good. I suppose it's good to have an inflight indication that those lights aren't working. HVG Quote
