Not sure if this has been posted before, but I just saw it. I grew up about an hr or so from here, and did my flight training not to far from there at Vortex/Bristow.

Great.... This doesn't bode well for the CA flight school bill...

 

Personally, any operation requiring all flight training costs up front sets alarm bells off in my head. My employer recommends students pay as they go, for just that reason.

 

Also, where did he get the $28k price tag? Seems too good to be true for a private, commercial and instrument.

Horrible that this still happens but we have been speaking out against this for about 4 years now. Shouldnt take much research to set off the warning bells.

There is a posting on Trade-a-plane for a couple of Helicopters and airplanes from a closing flight school in that town.

I feel bad for the families. Kind of. Spend an afternoon surfing around and you'll learn PDQ that putting large sums of money down is just bad news.
