Fred0311
It can be difficult to know what to research when you don't know what you don't know. I'd appreciate suggestions on questions to ask both perspective flight schools and you the members of this forum as someone who is just in the research phase of preparing his career. Some questions I've already been asking flight schools, how much training do I get out of my gi bill with your school, do you have a student housing program to make moving easier instead of apartment hunting, how often are you able to hire your own students and are you able to place those you dont in other jobs, do you assist in placing a CFI in a higher level job when his hours are reached? Thank you for any advice you have. I'm trying to make sure I am as prepared as possible for this difficult industry.

Thank you for any advice you have. I'm trying to make sure I am as prepared as possible for this difficult industry. I would ask about schedule/CFI availability. Having had to wait weeks at times to get appts (conducive to my schedule) and compete for weekend hours with other students was hard on me (and my training). I am sure this is important to part time students, but if you are full time--you might want to know too. I have gone to two schools, one school had one cfi and that was it. The other school had one cfi but if they noticed schedule problems--the bosses stepped in to help teach and thin out the schedule.
