gary-mike Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 This is not a new concept, look at how many countries are flying american made F-4's, F-16's, F-15's etc. Quote
superstallion6113 Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I say the U.S. has no place telling Turkey what to do with it's aircraft. They have basically kept Sikorsky in business. Back in the early 90's, I believe, when Sikorsky was hurting financially, Turkey signed a deal for almost 100 aircraft that basically kept the company going, and prevented mass layoffs. Hell we built over 50 well equipped fully optioned glass cockpit, weather radar, FLIR, surface radar, hellfire, torpedo, sonar dipping equipped Sea Hawks for them at my old job in a 2 year time frame. The amount of money they have poured into our economy, even over the last 3 years, let them do what they please with these. These aircraft they are giving Pakistan certainly do not match anything in our arsenal. Quote
