cburg Posted February 28, 2014 Author Posted February 28, 2014 Speaking of car keys and flying…years ago I had a friend drive me up to a high altitude mountain launch. After launching my hang glider and eventually landing in the valley and packing up the glider. It was starting to get dark...and still no driver. It was getting chilly so I put my hands in my pocket…and you guessed it. I had the car keys. This was decades before cell phones, so it was a very long night. Lesson: never fly with your car keys if you have somebody on the ground. 1 Quote
dankaten Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 No I haven't flown the 300 at HSI. They didn't have that one when I worked for them. They had Robinsons for training. They picked up the 300 right after a guy died flying one of the 22's. That was back about 2 years ago.I have seen the one you are talking about and it looks to be a pretty good machine. The 300 I learned in was actually a TH-55 (269) in the military back in the early 80's. Then I flew a few 300's out in California at the Bristow Academy in Concord when they actually had a school out there. Quote
