skihard Posted January 16, 2016 Report Posted January 16, 2016 I want to start by saying, I used this very useful forum often when I was making a plan to follow my dream of being a helicopter pilot. I didn't post much but read a lot, and used to search function to find answers to many of the questions I had, that had been answered previously. I wasnt able to find anything on this topic though. I recently received an application from URS / AECOM for an instructor position at Fort Rucker. Wondering if anyone has worked there, and what their experience was like? Also how long the application process takes? Because, I also landed an interview next month with a tour company flying turbines, so Im trying to decide which would be a better fit for me. Thanks in advance for any information Quote
superstallion6113 Posted January 17, 2016 Report Posted January 17, 2016 (edited) I can't comment on what it's like instructing at Rucker, but I can say that AECOM is by far the worst company I've ever worked for. They recently purchased URS. I worked for them on an OCONUS DoD contract as an A&P before moving to my current job. A few of the UH-1ST/212 pilots I currently work with used to instruct there for URS. One is an MTP that I frequently work with and he often brings up how much he disliked working there, but I'm not sure why. I'll have to ask him. Edited January 17, 2016 by superstallion6113 Quote
