I want to start by saying, I used this very useful forum often when I was making a plan to follow my dream of being a helicopter pilot. I didn't post much but read a lot, and used to search function to find answers to many of the questions I had, that had been answered previously. I wasnt able to find anything on this topic though.

I recently received an application from URS / AECOM for an instructor position at Fort Rucker. Wondering if anyone has worked there, and what their experience was like? Also how long the application process takes? Because, I also landed an interview next month with a tour company flying turbines, so Im trying to decide which would be a better fit for me.

Thanks in advance for any information

I can't comment on what it's like instructing at Rucker, but I can say that AECOM is by far the worst company I've ever worked for. They recently purchased URS. I worked for them on an OCONUS DoD contract as an A&P before moving to my current job. A few of the UH-1ST/212 pilots I currently work with used to instruct there for URS. One is an MTP that I frequently work with and he often brings up how much he disliked working there, but I'm not sure why. I'll have to ask him.
