r22butters Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 For the first time ever (in a recent job ad) I actually saw an employer mention the FAA Wings Program. Now I've been going to the seminars for about twelve years (ever since I was introduced to it at the Robby Safety Course), however, anytime I asked a CFI to endorse my blue card (back when the still used them) I would always have to explain what Wings was because no one had ever heard of it. So, any of you participate in it? ,...or even know what it is? Quote
superstallion6113 Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 (edited) When I was attending Guidance/Yavapai College we were able to get extra credit towards our ground school final grade for completing WINGS program courses that were on the list that Guidance recommended. Wally Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 PHI participated when I was there. Wings awarded at morning pre-takeoff. Quote
Little Bird Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 I worked through part of it it last off-season. Found about it online and gave it a shot. I was doing an instrument rating at the time and they had some seminars/courses which I found interesting and helpful. If I get more downtime in the job I'll probably keep working through it. Quote
ShelbyFlyer Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 I have used it for several years and have used it to keep my flight review current at least the last six years. I had more time to do the online courses when I was a line pilot. Now as an IP and check pilot, it is more difficult to find time for the classes. Quote
