Fffft Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 Hi I hear rumors all the time that NG are currently in desperate need of rotary pilots, especially in CA. Can anyone confirm this? Is there a high chance, should you pass the flight physical, SIFT and do OK on the board you will get accepted for flight school? Just curious. Quote
SBuzzkill Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 In the past folks have confused efforts to retain experienced rated aviators with a shortage of applicants. I don’t know if that is the case but make sure to use some expectation management when it comes to all things aviation. 1 Quote

mike0331 Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 It is entirely state by state dependent. Also, even some states that have a need are having bottleneck issues getting people to Rucker. 2+ year wait times are not unheard of. Call around and ask to speak to the WOSM in the states you are interested in. 1 Quote
