jimbo2181 Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 It is a great service. Do you have to have the account open for so long before it allows you to invite new people? Just wondering. Quote

Guest Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 Sandman, New invitation for you just left my mailbox one minute ago. Finnrotor::thanks:: Quote
RotorPilot Posted February 1, 2005 Author Posted February 1, 2005 Sorry for the delay guys, extremely busy the last two months without possibility to take care of this. All those that requested a Gmail account got their invite today. Still have some to spare If you don't find them in your email boxes, check the SPAM folder. Some email accounts were programed to store the invites there hoping they go unoticed (marketing wars) All the best RP Quote
AllJeep Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 I have one request to all the guys that I gave an invite to.If you get any invites, it'd be nice if you offered a couple of them to other VR members. Quote

helos4me Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 I will be sure to let you guys know when/if I get some. I'm assuming there will be an automatic notification to my gmail account? Quote
RotorPilot Posted February 2, 2005 Author Posted February 2, 2005 I will be sure to let you guys know when/if I get some. I'm assuming there will be an automatic notification to my gmail account?Yes, if you get selected it will appear a message in red near your account name in the top right corner saying "Invite "X" friends to Gmail". Lately its a blue box in the bottom left corner that says "invite a friend to Gmail" Normally they come 6 at a time. RP Quote

gofly Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Hello fellow pilots... I have some gmail email account invites I'd like to share with other pilots if you are interested. Just reply with your email address and I'll send it right over! For those who do not know...Gmail is a free webmail from Google. They are currently offering 1 gigabytes of memory only via personal invitations built on the idea that you should never have to delete mail and you should always be able to find the message you want. The key features are: Search, don't sort.Use Google search to find the exact message you want, no matter when it was sent or received. Don't throw anything away.1000 megabytes (1 GB) of free storage so you'll never need to delete another message. Keep it all in context. Each message is grouped with all its replies and displayed as a conversation. No pop-up ads. No untargeted banners. You see only relevant text ads and links to related web pages of interest. Again, just reply with your email address if interested... Fly safe! ::rotorhead:: Quote
