It won't hurt if you find an Enstrom flight school to teach at Robinson or Schweizer schools will definitely mean more opportunity later on when you start looking for work, simply because there are more of them out there. The Enstrom is a great ship, and you could always do your private and instrument rating in one, and build your commercial and cfi time in one of the more popular helicopters so you are more employable. If you feel really good about the instructor, then they should probably form the foundation of your flying, and I wouldn't just brush off a school because of the type of helicopter being flown. The first helicopter I ever flew was a Bell 47, and up until my instrument rating the majority of my time was in one. Quote
clay Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 where are you looking at? i did all my training in enstroms and loved it! HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO COMPLAINTS ABOUT THEM Quote
Galadrium Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 If you can fly a manual throttle Enstrom you can fly anything. Enstroms are great trainers and are very forgiving. Go for it. Quote
