rotor91 Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 NY to LAX Well YA....in a 109 Grand...IFR.....max cruise is 155 kts, 4+ hours endurance.....not too shabby! Anybody get the call to be SIC? Sure sh*t wasn't ME! R91 Quote
Goldy Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Maybe we should tell him that in the winter the jet stream drops lower? Had he gone from LAX eastbound to NY he could have shaved at least 1.5-2.0 hours off the flight time. Nevermind, I'll grab an R22 and beat his record...all I need is a 90 knot jet stream tailwind. Can you fly an R22 at FL30 ?? Quote
DanceswithCyclic Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Just a slight tweak here, a couple bolt-ons there, and BAM! cruizin a robby at FL300. Next plz. My STC in in the mail, honest. Quote

Helix Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 I thought of the wind thing too, but...the LAX to NYC route is a totally different record to break and is always faster. Quote
