FUSE Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Here is a link to a story form AOPA Pilot magazine about an Endurance test, circa 1958 done in a Cessna 172 that flew 150,000 miles without landing. I enjoyed reading it, hope you do as well. http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/aopa/pilot...php?startid=141 Quote
TomPPL Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 WOW..!!! That one was one the best links I've seen anywhere - totally amazing. I'd really like to see how they managed to do the in flight oil changes. More than two months flying, it's beyond belief, not too sure if there are any others out there who fancy breaking this particular record. Quote

My guess is that means they just dumped in new oil as the old oil was used up! In any case - it was a long flight...very cool. Quote
