Wannabe1 Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 (edited) I see Ebay has a listing for a 300C. I wouldn't know if it is a good deal. I do wish I were a tad closer to Kentucky to take a gander at the thing. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/hughes-300C...5QQcmdZViewItem For the right price and in the right condition... The old rent vs own question for training or even general flying about. Edited April 29, 2008 by Wannabe1 Quote

The old rent vs own question for training or even general flying about. This is the third or forth time I have seen it listed on Ebay. I believe for the same price. The component times are high for what is being asked for it. In helicopters, the component times are what determines the value. Components like rotor blades, engines and transmissions tend to be the high cost items on a helicopter. There are some others, but these are the major cost items and can make or break an owner. Quote

But it would be worth taking a closer look at. Quote

I don't believe it is at that price. The MR blades don't have a lot of time left and they are almost $18K per blade. Quote

67november Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 yes, I've seen this multipul times also. his numbers do not jive with what should be listed. I would recommend that it be thourgholy (sp?) inspected at the log book and phyisical level before even thinking about submitting a bid. Quote
