turbotay Posted June 8, 2009 Report Share Posted June 8, 2009 After I become a helicopter Pilot i want to join the Forest Service and be a Helitack pilot, though I'm going to be flying the whole time I thought it would be cool to learn the same repelling techniques that they use. Does anyone know where I can find a class for repelling in So Cal.? Are you talking about out of a helicopter? The only place I know of in So Cal that does stuff like that is SRT (http://www.srthelo.com/specialized-training/special-operations/). They do rappelling and fast roping, but I can guarantee that it costs a whole bunch of money. If you have the cash burning a hole in your pocket, go for it (and toss a bit my way maybe? Just kidding... Kinda).
