There's a pair of Blackhawks flying around over Honolulu right now. I wish I was up there.

...Better than being up there with some serious difficulties wishing you were on the ground. And what the , yer in 'A - wa - E - E. Kinda stretching it with the wishes, aren'tcha already? Maybe over Xmas I might have been wishing for no TFRs & the pres would gone somewhere else for vacation (another continent?) if I had been there tho.

My old unit flies the Hawks all the time so its great to hear them rotor blades slappin away

I don't know about that unit out there in Hawaii. At least the Kiowa unit. I can't remember in the last few years how many emergency landings I've heard them make via the news out there. Suspect shotty maintenance. Don't know about the other units on the base. I miss flying on 60s though I'll start flying on 300s here shortly however

I watched one take off from Kapiolani Park about a year ago.

Every other day the MedStar EC145 flies directly--and I mean directly--over my house. It's like they're mocking me. I haven't flown in probably 6 months.
