Precision Flight
I have recently been laid off from my flying job of 6 years and I would like to get an idea of what its like out there for unemployed pilots today. FYI got over 2000 PIC hours and many years in aviation... What is the general consensus for the pilot job industry today? How about utility work in Alaska this season? Is it really that difficult getting hired now? Thanks for your input
RagMan
I think most of the utility companies are already going to have as many pilots that they need this late in the season. Though, once spring gets here, and my guess is companies are probably already looking at potential candidates, but they will need to start filling pilot slots for utility work. Submit a resume, and find out Edited January 17, 2010 by RagMan
Waldorf
There are lots of EMS jobs and they require 2000 total time. I dont know how much turbine time you have, but if you have about 500 hrs you should be able to get an interview and then your chances I think would be good. Good luck!
