Alaska Tours - Has Anyone Been Hired?

Hi All,

I know a bunch of you out there applied to Temsco and Era for their Alaska tour season. I know some folks who interviewed, etc. Has anyone been HIRED? It would be nice to stop checking my phone to make sure it is still working.

The 30 out of 36 pilots returning to Temsco already know it and most likely so do the other 6. Era who knows, but you're probably out of luck.

The new hires at Era start their training next week.

I missed the cut with Era. I spoke to their recuiter this afternoon. She told me that all the new hires had "significant Astar time and all had prior Alaska experience."

 

I guess I am going to have to start logging all the hops over the beach condos as mountian time! Kind of hard to get that experience flying tours here on the beach.

Two mates in Florida found out yesterday. Heading up to Temsco to start training on April 2nd.

Hey do you know how many hours and experience the guys in FL that got hired have?

About 1250 hours and both instructors. One was an MTP instructor. They also knew some of the guys up there already.

I would expect that the few postions that were open went to friends or folk with connections.
