lynxpilot
Just finishing up my Navy career and looking at EMS jobs around the location of my dreams. Ended up finding this site and really pleased so far. My compliments! Hopefully I'll be able to contribute something worthwhile here. I've been lurking a little and it looks real good. Thanks. Heli-Ops
Dave, On behalf of Rey Madrid (owner of the site) welcome to this merry band. We have a great group of people here that are always willing to help and share their knowledge. Good to see we finally got someone from Her Majesty's Navy to join our ranks. Look forward to reading your posts. Heli Ops
lynxpilot
HO,I am in the U.S. Navy and flew Lynx on exchange to Royal Navy. I'll admit I was Anglicized a bit, but I'm still pretty much a Yank. Thanks for the welcome! Dave
Heli-Ops
Ouch :crutches: Sorry about that one. Must have been fun at Yeovilton wouldnt it. Enjoy the forum and how about adding to the Who Are We and What Do We Do thread. Your info would be a good addition. lynxpilot
I was at RNAS Portland. Unfortunately they closed it the year after I left, and that's when the Lynx community went north to Yeovilton. Was there from '92 to '95 and flew from HMS Newcastle. Best time of my life. Heli-Ops
Sounds like fun. I got to fly the black Harrier with 811 Squadron when I was over there doing a story for my mil aviation magazine. Great fun and also got to do a running takeoff from that ramp that sits on the far side of the airfield. Shite of a place to get to, but was fun once I got there.
