Helipilot PTK Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 This is a good article I just read. Clears some things up. http://flightmonkeys.com/?p=701 Quote
nightsta1ker Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Tibet is under the control of China. Chinese airspace is controlled by the military and does not meet ICAO standards (according to everything I have been able to find). Quote
jjsemperfi Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 Does anyone have any information on the flight other than the standard script that Eurocopter put out? I still want to see data from that flight. Like his IAS when he was on the summit. His ground speed from his GPS when he was approaching, things like that. Quote

Maybe you could just ask him yourself, maybe even share his response? http://fr.linkedin.com/pub/didier-delsalle/41/873/31b Quote
jjsemperfi Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 I'll sure give it a shot, thanks. My dad grew up in La Crascenta, small world. How do you like flying out of Van Nuys? Quote
rsak Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 For what it's worth, if you look closely at the photos you can see that there are quite a few things stripped off... things missing: china hat, heel springs, the end of the tail-cone, the small "steps" usually on the rear skid downtubes, landing/pulse lights, only one comm antenna...I'm sure there's a lot more missing that we can't see...
