JonnyUSMC
I was just curious to know if anyone has an idea of approximately how much tour companies in Hawaii make? Paradise, Sunshine, Blue Hawaiin, etc. I'm interested in possibly working there someday and I am just trying to get an idea of income compared to cost of living out there as well as moving my stuff out there. Any help would be great. Thanks
Helipilot PTK
Have you checked out that salary page under the career development tab? It may not have the exact companies you are looking for, but you can get a average of tour company salaries. http://www.helicoptersalaries.com
Azhigher
I have heard working at blue hawiian would gross you something like 80'ish+ depending on what island after salary, flight pay and tips. This is just word of mouth so, can't say for certain. Perhaps someone else will chime in.
Helipilot PTK
That is probably true. However, the cost of living is very expensive in Hawaii, it may seem like a desirable income but it may just equal out to around the same as someone in the states where the cost of living is low. Similar to military pay where It doesn't look like you make alot, but when you add in special pay, health care, dental, and house pay etc it equals out to a high salary on the civilian side. Agreed. If I can find a job where I'm making at least $50k a year (about what I was making in the Army), I can live comfortably and be happy with it. Then again... I'm not looking to get rich. I just want to get paid to fly!

michaels214
I dont know about Blue hawaiis pay..But The cost of living isnt that bad here, especially on the Big Island where Blue hawaii is located. I actually live 5-6 miles from Blue Hawaii and i ride my motorcycle by there every day and it excites the hell out of me. I start training at mauna loa helicopters in October, which is apparenty a top notch school - so im really fortunate to be from hawaii! If you have any questions about the cost of living here just ask away..I was born and raised here.
