Snowman
I have been so busy at work that this photo is a couple of weeks old, but I really like how it turned out. This is a Siller Sky Crane installing the new gondola towers on Vail Mountain. It may be one of the best ones I have ever taken, I really like the background! Enjoy!

superstallion6113
Looks so much like a CH-53. Awesome looking helicopter.

superstallion6113
Nice picture! Looks nothing like a CH-53 looks like a sky crane... You must have never worked on a CH-53D before. It has a similar but slightly narrower nose/cockpit section of CH-53D, along with the main rotor head, main gearbox, and blade design. Actually they share many of the same major parts, since it was designed along side the CH-53D, the Sikorsky designation of the Sky Crane being the S-64, and the CH-53A being the S-65. Seeing one fly looks, and sounds like a CH-53D, missing the fuselage/cabin section. Edited October 29, 2012 by superstallion6113
helipilotm
Nope never worked on them... I see what your saying about the blades etc. But put them side by side on the ramp and a non flying person would say there totally different. That was my point!
