ridethisbike
Ran across this video and thought it would provide a good discussion topic. No one crashed, no one died. I'm just curious what you think happened? What would you have done differently? Once you pulled the cushion back out, would you have bought a new one or just cleaned that one off and put it back? Any other comments?
Helipilot PTK
From what I understand a passenger "bumped" the cyclic, which then caused the helicopter to nose forward. The pilot then regained control and thanked God!
Eric Hunt
He had a forward cg to start with (touched down on the toes). If a pax bumped it, why did it happen twice? It wasn't a sharp movement like a bump, it was more a steady push. Why didn't he just dump the lever?
rotornut67
I agree with the forward CG, and just my opinion but maybe the pucker factor caused the pilot to overcontrol??
