"Fly Helicopters" out of the Aurora State Airport is a HORRIBLE school. The owner is a flakey scum bag! Avoid at all cost! In case they changed there school name, it is a blue R22 at the north end of the airport in the T hangars by Willamette Aviation.

Ummmm.... OK. We've laid out some dirt about schools on here before, but the last one was followed up by a screen shot of the county jail inmate booking page for the owner. Just saying "they suck" doesn't do any good for anybody.

Agreed FP. Heli, back it up with your full experience so others don't make the same mistake because they have a full picture of your experience. If you are in Oregon and are looking for a new school, one of my best mates is curently working on his CFI rating at Jerry Trimble and I also know an instructor at Inland Helicopters if you want some contact numbers to feel those operations out.

Oregon has a lot of reputable helicopter training options. If we've never heard of FH at UAO, there's probably a good reason.

Well for starters. You go to book a flight and set up a time to meet and they don't show. Then you call them to see what's going on and they chew your ass for calling and bugging them. Very strange operation...

Run.....run as fast as you can. Don't worry, the industry has a way of sorting people like that out by the fact that if they are a shitty operation, they no longer have customers and the bank comes and takes away their means for earning said money.
