Holy sh*t, I can't believe it either! The first, yesturday, was from Tropic, so they must REALLY be getting desperate! He left a message that he'll try again today. The second was a 44 tour operation, I actually talked with them, but alas,...I'm too fat! ,...now if PHI calls someone's gonna have to get the smelling salts! Andrew N Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 Well I just finished my private and I'm working on commercial... but I've sort of chalked it up to a bust. The only reasonable opportunities I think I see nowadays is EMS, border patrol and law enforcement. All are fine... but I'm starting to just think I'll do a FW transition after I finish commercial and spend the next 10 years building up that 1500 hours while I keep my day job. 1 Quote
DizzyD Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 When I was in a similar situation, I found another pilot looking to build time and we bought a cheap but sound C152 and flew it for over 1000hrs..sold it...bought a cheap but sound PA30 repeated the process and we both had qualifying ATP hours (not skills) in a just over a year. Had a blast doing it, saw the USA, and got real world experience in numerous high density terminal areas. 1 Quote
