me shakes fist
I just caught the end of One Six Right on Discovery HD Theater and it had some amazing aerial shots! I can't wait to watch the whole thing and I recommend it to anyone that has even the slightest interest in flying. If you're lucky enough to have Discovery HD Theater, it's on again tonight (the 6th) at 11pm, the 7th at 4 pm and the 12th at 3am (all EDT). If you don't, the DVD is on Amazon for $20 and HD-DVD for $17! For those that don't know, it's a documentary type film that follows the history of Van Nuys Airport and general aviation. Intrepid721
Truly a brilliant film. My favorite shot is of the sun cresting, just as the hangar doors open to reveal the polished aluminum spinner of a P-51, or was it when the P-51 was poking in, out and around those friendly looking cirrus? If you haven’t dreamt of doing exactly that at least once in your life, I don’t think I want to know you.
