rick1128 Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Been scouring the helicopter market for a good used piston helicopter over the last few months and everything is price just a little too high for me personally. I have decided to look for a partner or seek out someone who presently has a helicopter they would like to partner out or sell some time in. Primarily looking at a H300, BH47 and EN28/280. Brantly's and Hiller's are also a possibilities. I am located in Southern New Jersey so Deleware, SE Penn South and Mid Jersey are the areas I am looking in. To all the robbie rangers out there, I have flown the 22 and 44, do not like them and have no interest in them. Quote
BOATFIXERGUY Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Good choice in birds! I'm too far away, unless you want to base the bird halfway....lets say in Kansas? Quote

Actually half way would be closer to ILL or IN. That way neither of us would be able to use it much. It would keep the operating costs down. Quote
BOATFIXERGUY Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Good point! It would become another hangar queen. Good luck with your quest! I'd be interested in a 280fx partnership if we were closer. Quote

I have flown it and it is a nice ship, but could you imagine trying to fly it all the way across the country at 70 knots? Quote

But I think I need to find a partner before we decide on a helicopter. Flew over your home airport last week on my way from Phoenix to Steamboat. Cross countries must be interesting. Other than that how are things going? Ran into a couple of the guys from Salika at HeliExpo. Ken had some issues with Tim and Gary and has moved over to Helicopter Academy. Quote

Tim can be difficult to deal with sometimes. but he knows his stuff. so i always bit my toungue an listened. Quote
Gerhardt Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Actually half way would be closer to ILL or IN. That way neither of us would be able to use it much. It would keep the operating costs down. Shoot, base it in Missouri and cut me in for 1/3! Quote
rick1128 Posted May 3, 2008 Author Posted May 3, 2008 I managed to find an Enstrom F-28C for a price I could live with. I'll be in debt for the rest of my life plus 1 year, but what the heck. I should take delivery sometime this month. Quote
