Anybody else on the forum near Billings MT and ride a motorcycle? Looking for a new riding partner since my old partner decided to get a job in PA. Don't care what you ride if you don't care what I ride, I just want to ride (and talk helicopters{not while riding :P}). Besides, riding is more fun when you can share with a kindred spirit. If your interested please PM me.

Hey,

Put 140 miles on mine yesterday. Stopped by Gomer Pylot's base to finally meet him, but sign said restricted and no one was outside so I didn't go on the property. My bike averaged 51.89 miles per gallon! Had fun, needed a partner to ride with though.

Well,

Scratch that, sold my bike tonight. I also quit flight school. I am putting flying on hold. My oldest is graduating this May and wants to head off to college. We also found out my dad has cancer, we don't know how bad it is yet. So I don't know when, if ever, I'll get to finish training.......

Sorry you had to sell your bike and quit flight schoo. Life gets expensive, tough and fun and not always fun. Hang in there, and please don't give up your dream. I hope your father will be ok, been through similiar and at the end of the day, realized that looking forward to completing one dream is a good thing.

rodrop,

Thanks for the kind words. I am still trying to figure out how to make this happen. I had almost half of my money paid. But, getting time off to go train is another story. Training schools are a pretty good drive for me to get to. I also turned down/delayed a better job out of state because of my dad's condition, until we find out how bad/far the cancer is and treatment options.

Thanks again,

mechanic

Family first. I hope your dad comes out ok and that your family is ok..Cancer is not a one person target, it hits everyone the cancer patient knows/loves/who loves him or her. Please hang in there, and if you need anything, let me know. My brother was sick a short while ago and then followed by my mother (not cancer)...been there done that for quite awhile and came out a better person and soon, maybe one day..a pilot too :)
