Kandace
I recently received word I've been awarded an Amelia Earhart Scholarship to get my Instrument Helicopter rating. I'm extremely happy about this! It is wonderful news. I've been at a standstill in my heli training and this could not have come at a better time! Little Red 22
C-O-N-G-R-A-T-U-L-A-T-I-O-N-S!!! That is very exciting news! I am especially happy to hear we have another "rotorhead" among the 99's scholarship winners! My local chapter of the 99's (Ventura,CA) also has a proud AE scholarship winner, rotorhead Sheila. I hope you get to meet each other! I know exactly what this means to you, and thanks for sharing your happiness! Susie

heligirl03
Awesome!!! I'm so glad to hear when the few scholarships out there are put to good use. Believe it or not, way too many of them are never cashed in or are awarded to folks who look good on paper but never get anywhere in the long run. Get that IR and keep flying!!! StanFoster
Kandace- I am real happy for you. You sure go after stuff aggressively. I was fortunate to meet you once at the Lansing airport a few years ago at one of the Chapter 18 cookouts. I had flown up in my SparrowHawk. Next time I am up there will be in my Helicycle.....I hope to talk powered rotors with you. Stan

Though heaven knows I've had enough things try! I remember meeting you as well. I definitely want to talk powered rotors with you as well! I'm hoping to come down to Mentone as well. If things go well I'd like to bring an R-22 down to give rides. I'll have to charge but not to make money but to build time! Kandace
