HeloJunkie
I don't know about helicopter companies, but I use mine all the time in both the helicopter and my plane. A friend of mine has his mounted just to the right of his console (500C model with narrow console) and uses Foreflight for inflight navigation. Secondary bonus is the music plugged into the intercom! RagMan
I bet we will start seeing the offshore companies use them, maybe ems, maybe corporate? The bigger companies you can bet will incorporate them soon enough.

hartlanes
In the current economic climate, most operators of helicopters are on a quest to control costs and increase profit margins. Apart from improving the control and distribution of documents, specific iPad apps such as maintenance tracking, electronic record keeping and standardized flight planning provide opportunities to automate and streamline processes and eliminate costly data entry errors. For search and rescue missions, CHC is currently testing an aircraft equipped with three or four iPads, two in the cockpit and one or two in the cabin.
