StanFoster Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 I was contacted by Channel 3...WCIA out of Champaign, Il wondering if the they could send a crew to film a segment of their CI Outdoors show. I quickly accepted and they were up in a few days. They had me talk about my Helicycle that I had built...and then took some video of it flying. I had no control of the editing but 45 minutes of taping was cut down to just over 4 minutes. I am just ecstatic about my Helicycle that I have been flying almost 2 years now. Lately I just custom made some fairing to streamline my landing gear. It gained over 4 mph on the topend. Heres the video link.... http://illinoishomepage.net/fulltext?nxd_id=370352 Stan FosterIllinois 4 Quote
mrkik Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Wow that was fantastic! You must of had some background in mechanics or engineering or something? Quote
Adam S Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Awesome Stan, glad to see your machine is getting the attention it deserves! Quote
StanFoster Posted May 16, 2012 Author Posted May 16, 2012 mrkik- not an engineer......just a self taught curved stairbuilder. The Helicycle is a very well designed kit...It takes patience and a lot of it is self fabricated....but not the critical stuff. Stan Quote
aeroscout Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Finally got the video to play. Very nicely built from what I can see. Quote
