mxg0166 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 How long is it taking to get through rucker on the blackhawk path? Quote
DaveC Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 From graduating WOCS to pinning wings will be 15.5 months for me, but I've had zero delays. Some of my friends here spend four months between WOCS and BOLC for no apparent reason. All seems to be luck of the draw. Quote
Joe_P148 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 It's an open ended question, you could be there 2 years or 15months. Luck of the draw, depends on how many students are bogged up in the pipeline. You can expect at least one to two bubbles while you are at Rucker. luckily Uh-60's is the shortest course. Quote
rob. Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 When I left Rucker in May there was a 2-3 month wait for the 60 course, not sure about now. Quote
WaterRooster Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 A/M hybrid is sitting at a 6 day wait out of BWS. Learn those EP's!! Quote

The A/M hybrid course that they're starting to send all AD pilots to is now the longest. I kept waiting on one of these bubbles to get a breather, but I never found myself in one. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones (or unlucky, depending on who you ask). Quote
Joe_P148 Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I don't know what a A/M hybrid is... Consider yourself lucky if you can get out of Rucker quick... Anyone who tells you to enjoy your time at Rucker is ridiculous, get out of there as soon as you can so you can re learn how the line units fly and start learning your mission maybe even deploy before AStan winds down. When I went through in 06-07 uh-60s was 18-22 months at Rucker. AH-64s was about 2 years. I knew an lt who had a one year bubble to start. Quote
WaterRooster Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I don't know what a A/M hybrid is... Alpha/Mike UH-60. They just called it the hybrid course to separate it from the Alpha/Lima course Quote
yakfishr19 Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 so all AD is getting A/M course now? Quote
DaveC Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 That's what we're being told. All the warrants seem to be getting it. A few comissioned pilots were being put in the A/L course when I selected in May, but I think that's ending soon too. Granted, almost all of us in my A/M course are going to fly Limas at our new units, but we'll at least be qualified if we ever get Mikes. Quote
