aeroscout Posted February 7, 2014 Report Share Posted February 7, 2014 I thought this might be a fun topic for the forum to hash out.One of my aviation pet peeves is how acronyms have been modified to be redundant.When the last letter of the acronym is spelled out after the initial has already been included is what I am referring to.For example...GPS systemGPS stands for Global Positioning System.So when you say GPS System what you are really saying is...Global Positioning System System.
