Astro Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 So its a few weeks away, anyone know which employers will be showing up? 1 Quote
takefootoff Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 50 of those views where probably just me checking back to see if anybody posted 2 Quote
zippiesdrainage Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 Well it's sponsored by PHI, Reach, Air-Evac and Air Methods so they're a safe bet. I'm sure Papillon and Sundance will be there especially since Air Methods owns Sundance and perhaps Blue Hawaiian for the same reason (but just guessing there). Quote
zippiesdrainage Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 And I bet the boatpix guy will be there too Quote
Astro Posted October 18, 2016 Author Posted October 18, 2016 Its less than 2 weeks away and not sold out yet? Seems odd, maybe I'll just wait 'till I have 1500 hours to go? Quote
Astro Posted October 18, 2016 Author Posted October 18, 2016 This could be a reason its not sold out yet? Discounted room rate $69 + $29 resort fee per night at the host hotel, The Flamingo Resort. ROOM RATE NOTE: Saturday Oct. 29 rate is $89 + resort fee per night.I love how they break down the price, its like going to a restaurant and getting a steak for $8 + $10 cooking fee! Quote
takefootoff Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 IMO, if you have the time and the means to do so and you are sub 1500 hours, it might still be worth it to go for networking and exposure to the industry. Go there and get your juices flowing. I would go, but like I said last year....I don't wanna get punched in the face. Quote
r22butters Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016  I would go, but like I said last year....I don't wanna get punched in the face.No one punched me in the face (or anywhere else for that matter) when I went, and I've made plenty of enemies here (even got on a Nixonian list) , so you'd be fine,...probably? ,...but damn that "resort fee" is more than I paid in total for a room at Luxor three years ago to go to HeliExpo! Gonna have to spend some time at the craps table to make this trip worth it! Quote
Azhigher Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 This could be a reason its not sold out yet? I love how they break down the price, its like going to a restaurant and getting a steak for $8 + $10 cooking fee! Someone has to pay for the Raider's new stadium there and they decided tourists would. zippiesdrainage Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Just remember, November is hire season for tours. If you can't make it out to helisuccess, go visit the tour companies in NYC while everyone else is in Vegas. Quote

takefootoff Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 NYC is really tight anymore. All of the operators had to cut their operations 50% by 2017. Quote
Astro Posted October 20, 2016 Author Posted October 20, 2016 It must be an interesting experience being the pilot maning one of the booths at these events, knowing that this huge line of pilots in front of you all want your job? Quote
Astro Posted October 29, 2016 Author Posted October 29, 2016 Just a couple days away and still not sold out! I guess there's still time to find 5 other guys to share a room with and go? Quote
vertrefadmin Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Its less than 2 weeks away and not sold out yet? Seems odd, maybe I'll just wait 'till I have 1500 hours to go?We had to move to a new venue last year which allowed for a larger conference room. This allowed us to open up additional seating and sell tickets longer (same as last year). This year, we sold out a few days before the event. In the past, we would sell out on average 1-2 weeks prior, but we had less space. So, in answer to your question, we sold the same amount as last year. The new space also allowed us the opportunity to start breakout sessions, which provides for a smaller setting for those interested in networking within specific sectors.Hope this helps.Lyninfo@justhelicopters.com Quote
