DizzyD Posted January 8, 2017 Report Posted January 8, 2017 One of the FW ATPs I work with is doing a PPL add-on rating. At that level how much aircraft specific minutia is expected? i jokingly told him "why all of it of course!" Seriously though, at the PPL level is an applicant expected to have blade twist, tip speeds, cylinder head temp ranges, etc committed to memory? 1 Quote
adam32 Posted January 8, 2017 Report Posted January 8, 2017 Yes to cylinder head temps, the rest not so much but it really depends on the examiner. They won't fail you for not knowing the blade twist but they may ask it just to trip you up and see what you'll say. Quote
