Juan
Our client want us to design a Helipat with rocks around the pad area. He suggested 3" rocks. I am not a pilot but reading some histories I was wondering If having rock even 4" can become projectiles during takeoff and landing. Any suggestion/comments/advise? vertrefadmin
I would suggest posting this in the General Forum as well
choppaguy84
The heavier the rocks are, the better. Depends on the aircraft used as well. Rocks aren't exactly wind sails.
Hobie
Your drawing shows some kind of flat flagstone mortared in. I like that better than river rock as I would be a problem if a loose stone ended up on the pad during a landing.
