chrisssteeven
Hello,I'm travelling with my finance to Las Vegas and doing a 3.5 hour helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon. I've heard it's customary to tip the helicopter pilot but I haven't the first clue how much would be appropriate. The flight costs $250 USD per person. r22butters
When I took a ride over the Strip one night, I tipped the pilot five bucks. I saw a t.v. show once about Vegas tipping, you could always try to Google it.

DeLtaFoxY
At my work we recommend $20 a person... who are you flying with ?? Edited February 16, 2010 by DeLtaFoxY
Cubby
$20 a person is a good tip. If the tour you are doing is private than at least $100 should be given. In any case any tip is good... most people don't tip at all! I even had someone hand me $1 Call me what you want to but I thanked him for the tip and handed it back to him. I told him apparently he needed it more than I did.
DynamicallyUnstable
Ya I agree with the others, 20 pp is a decent tip. Sorry you're not flying with us but have fun anyways!
Eric Hunt
Once had a customer who slipped something (obviously money) into my top pocket after a flight. In Oz, tipping the pilot is not normal, so I was pleasantly surprised to see he had given me $1000 US! Not bad considering the Oz dollar was worth about $0.65 at the time, so I walked away with about $1800 and a big smile.
