Goldy Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Ship went down at Brackett about 11am this morning, (just about the time arotrhead was calling me!) Anyway, initial reports said two on board, one fatal, however I confirmed thru LASD it was just two minor injuries. Dont know anymore, or who it was, apparently the ship was on or near the runway. Those facts are consistent with a training accident, but we'll have to wait and see. Glad to hear injuries are just minor. Goldy Quote
Eggbeater Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 These things come in threes; hopefully things will quiet down now. Glad to hear everyone was ok. Quote

Goldy I heard that someone rented a ship from Universal and then on approach admitted to pulling mixture.. Quote
AStarB3 Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Confirmed it was a mixture pull. My buddy was there and said the guy admitted it. Lesson here is use your mixture guard Quote
Goldy Posted June 8, 2010 Author Posted June 8, 2010 I heard that someone rented a ship from Universal and then on approach admitted to pulling mixture.. Good reason to not even mess with the trim. Just not worth the effort. Although, if you're on approach at 60knots plus with a runway under you, it should be a non event....sounds like he did a fair job since both walked away. Goldy Quote
