CFI benefits

Who here is working as a full time CFI and gets health benefits? I was just wondering how that would work into the time building aspect of working as a CFI. Basically not having health coverage while working would be a huge problem!

I'm not sure, but I don't think I have ever heard the words "CFI" and "benefits" in the same sentince before :-). I always thought a job, and building hours were about the only ones.

 

On a serious note though, there probably are some schools that do offer benefits, but I personally do not know of any.

Maybe they will let you trade food stamps for benefits.

Few and far between, look for bigger than ma' & pa' schools and you might get lucky. For must of us that have survived, we call it paying our dues to the industry. Best route financially and benefit wise would be the military.

From what I understand, the coasties prefer to steal pilots from the rest of the armed forces, than train their own.

Benefits? What are those? A cfi knows no benefits. When you have a month with enough flights so you can afford rent AND food your living the dream.

My benifits are the short drive to the plasma donation place and a very patient wife.
