Can somebody in the course make me one of these by Saturday? I'll be at the sim this weekend and will buy you a beer or whatnot.

Ill give it a shot if they'll let us use the machines

Ah the old shoulder sling. Okay I get it. I thought it was some cool attachment leader for securing it in the magic school bus or something I haven't heard of yet.

This is random, but seems related. At my current civilian job, I have spreadsheets that I update daily which track my current projects, as well as qualifications and re-certifications. I've set up my email program (outlook) to give me reminders when sensitive dates are approaching. Do aviators in the Army receive laptops on which they can track the myriads of information which they are responsible for?

Well I can only speak for flight school, yes we are issued laptops but they are absolute trash.

Well, come on, its the army. Army electronics are notoriously behind the times versus the civilian world. My old platoon sergeant used to ask me (as the forward observer/RTO), "Crosby, why the heck can my cell phone that fits in the palm of my hand make international calls, and be outfitted with security devices, but the Army can't get past a cinderblock-sized radio that's still only line of sight and has to be encrypted weekly, by hand?" To which I would reply, "don't ask me, you've been in longer than I have."

As long as the computer can handle basic excel functions and I can type up memos, I'm good to go.

Oh no, they're civilian laptops--the Army just managed to find the most expensive ones with the slowest processors.

And some congressman was able to hook up his buddy's computer company with a DOD contract.

Whatever you want

Hope you like black. Going to need to pick up one more carabiner(i could only find 2). And the flag is velcro'd on so you can put whatever you want, nametape will fit too.

Used the meme app so i could shrink the photo and upload it.

Beautiful!! I've have my own carabiners, don't want to steal from a W1.

I'm pumped!

I'm going to start making them and selling at the Hanger for $20 each. Make millions.

Quotes from class today:

This is what happens when you have a SGT teaching an assortment of Warrant Officers an otherwise dry class about Survival Kit items:

Instructor: "What does the yellow tag have on it that the green tag doesn't?"

CW3: "Yellow."

Instructor: "This is a signaling mirror. What's it for?"

The whole class: "Signalling."

Instructor: "This is a spoon, do I have to tell you guys what to use this for?"

CW3: "Spooning."

Instructor: "This is a candle, it doesn't have a wick. Why?"

CW2: "Because it doesn't want to be a candle."

Instructor: "There is a sharpening stone inside this little red case. What do you think it's for?"

WO1: "Eating."

Instructor: "This is a knife where you can cut up your favorite LT."

Later,

"This is a shovel where you can dig a hole in the ground and bury him."

Simply glorious.
