clay
NOOOOOO! you guys are all wrong. its those new experimental helicopters i read about over on JH. they seem way interesting, described as: the tandem rotor, euro-gusta, 2 0 44, jetstar, notar, with retractable snow baffles and emergency floats! it was power by twin counter rotating 12 cylinder allison jets, bottom launching ejection seats, chrome plated ashless exhaust, with an afterburner option
Goldy
NOOOOOO! you guys are all wrong. its those new experimental helicopters i read about over on JH. they seem way interesting, described as: the tandem rotor, euro-gusta, 2 0 44, jetstar, notar, with retractable snow baffles and emergency floats! it was power by twin counter rotating 12 cylinder allison jets, bottom launching ejection seats, chrome plated ashless exhaust, with an afterburner option Just be careful if you overcontrol one of those, the main rotor comes down and slices the exhaust pipes off (violation of the VNY noise abatement ordinance). Apparently, the cylinders are used in low altitude situations and the jet portion activates at higher flight levels? Hmm...do I need to add carb heat to a turbine when flying above FL41 ? Wow, I'm really confused now...back to the POH. Goldy Edited June 30, 2007 by Goldy
