There were some pretty cool shots in that video, but I'm not gonna lie, it was a tad bit cheesy.

Didn't look cheesy to me.....very fine presentation. Makes me want to fly B.C.! Yes there were some really nice shots.

very nice.

I'm impressed we've had no one dogging them yet, or threatening to turn them into their FAA buddy for review. hovering over people just for a video, hovering down in a canyon!! there are a few on here that would just consider all that absolutely dreadful unsafe deadly flying.

I liked it. that would have been fun to be the pilot! Kudos for enjoying it, and showing it

I'll give you a bit of cheese, but overall really well done, fantastic scenery. I like the part where the guy rests his arm on the skid....kinda cool. Second best is where he is just standing there and you see the ship come past and his jacket blows around from the downwash..good stuff, thanks for sharing.

Clay- Did you get the tail number??

Looks like an amazing place to fly!

Yes, me and my fellow British Columbians are very fortunate to live in a place like this. I just can't wait to complete my PPL(H) so I can start exploring this province in my "ultimate atv".

Btw, the same flight school (which I am not training at nor do I have any affiliation with) responsible for that video also have an interesting video of their annual heli-camping trip (complete with inspiring music once again) at:

I don't know about hovering in that waterfall canyon, looked pretty deep and narrow. I get more excited about flying helicopters watching Airwolf though....

Very, very nice video.

It shows- kinda, sorta- the dream. The reality is usually a lot sweatier. But that's okay, there's enough of the "They PAY me to do this???" moments that I know how I lucky I've been to have done this for four decades, plus...

That definitly looked like some fun flying. And, oh yes,...very cornie, like a music video from the 90's. I couldn't help but laugh!

Mungo5, you are correct. It is a common practice in the field but it is preferble to not do it. The controls are locked down but you never know what Mother nature can throw at you.

What a great video - great work editing and the music works well. As someone said before, it does a great job of capturing the "dream". And it sure beats about 95% of the other flight school videos out there. Although at first glance it seems more to be an ad for aviator sunglasses and flight helmets. :)

Haha. Ya, my employer still uses a 5 year old video from a commercial.... Sounds like one of the late night infomercials for cheep property in Montana... Has 80s generic commercial music to boot!
