Holy cow, good job Tommy! I worked with him in 2010 in Alaska he was my Chief Pilot and I remember doing some excellent auto training with him. He would roll the throttle off early or late and it was all about range variation to get to the spot. Obviously his excellent auto skills came in handy for real. Very glad to hear you and your px are OK Tommy. Impressive piloting!!

I grew up in Burns Oregon near to the accident. Calamity Butte where the accident occurred is a horrible place to have an engine quit. Tall trees and nothing is flat. He did a superb job of putting it down on the road. Best outcome one could hope for in a tough situation.

He didn't have a 125ft run on either...
