I just wanted you (and everyone else) to know that I truly enjoyed our conversation this afternoon. I can now say that I know where you are coming from with your posts and I will not be posting anything in regards to your posts from here on out. I know that you are simply wanting to share your passion of flight with anyone and everyone. I recommend to all that are skeptical to give Mike a call and see that he is genuinely sincere in his offer to come and fly with him and that it is not simply him trying to get some free advertising for his business. I will be in touch and am looking forward to a long friendship that will last many, many years into the future.

It sounds like you had a good chat, explained a side that maybe Bossman didn't see, and in return saw a side which we didn't see. But the manner which you wrote your last post seems honest and so I'll back down and offer Bossman a hand to shake!

 

Still, I will say again that little saying. Something for us all to remember:

 

"It is not what you mean or the words you speak which are important. Its how you are understood that is most important. Everyone understands things differently. The art of communcation is to vary your message style so that your intented meaning matches the understanding in the most number of cases."

 

What I'm saying is that maybe Bossman did have good intentions all along with these posts, but I hope he understands how his messages were easily mis-understood. Well, I always believe the 'onus' is on the speaker when there is a mismatch of intended meaning and actual understanding. That's probably why my own posts are often lengthy and why I always end up posting, but then going back through and editing over and over (usually at least 10 times)!!!! Sorry!

 

However, certainly from the most recent posts of his in other threads, I have seen a 'change' in style, and enjoyed reading the information he had to share. Thanks.

 

Well, as most outspoken member thought I had better offer a handshake.

 

So, that's all from me on this. A short while for people who really want to respond to this (1 day) then...I'll have this thread closed.

Lemme get this straight...you can only post a positve comment or info about a company when you have absolutely no affiliation with it??? I think you'd find that rule getting broken quite often. Or can you if you: a.) dont admit that you own/work for that company

b.) arent 'in your face' about it

 

It seems that the training forums have a lot of posts reccomending schools that dont advertise here. Go figure, some even work there.

 

Please clarify (any pilots/lawyers out there??)
