407 Driver
A Northern Air Support 407 heads west in search of Fires... The S.T.A.R.S. boys let me take the BK for a quick spin, sweet aircraft ... but I'll stick to my 407, Thanks
aser
407 Driver I'm getting really jealous with your work location... what a beautiful place!Regarding to the picture landing with the group of people on their knees... Why they don't wait 50m. away? It isn't safer? What's the need to do this?I'm just another student that knows nothing about the real world work.Thanks. 407 Driver
It's fairly standard Ops in all of our Heli activities (Heli-Ski Heli-Hike, etc) to have the groups ready at the door of the aircraft Vs 50 M away. Think of the rotor tips...the lowest point of the disc. They are much safer close in to the fusealge, plus there's a bit less downwash that at or outside the tips.
