Heli-Ops
They have three of them and are used for all sorts of Police work. They dont seem to do normal patrol type work like the US or Europe its more special operations type work and supporting the Government. Fuzzy the Flying Buddha
4 of LAPD's Astar's on their rooftop helipadMyself (white shirt) with one of the pilots for Long Beach Police Dept and their EC130... (what's really annoying is I had around 130 hours, and he only had 60 at the time and he's flying that while I'm stuck in the 300cb, so unfair) LA County Fire Dept's Firehawk. A nicely painted blackhawk modified with extended struts, winch, and 1000 gal. tank. (All the pilots there are really high time pilots, like over 10000)San Diego Sheriff's MD500 hanging out on LAPD's rooftop. Notice the tail rotor sticking out over the roof, makes me wonder about preflight. ::
