adam32
Whats the weight on the concrete and bucket? I dunno. Doesn't look like much concrete per turn though, maybe 1/3 yard?

iChris
Whats the weight on the concrete and bucket? A good rule of thumb for most concrete mixtures is 150 pounds per cubic foot. However, there are also lighter and heavier varieties depending on aggregates used. That calculates out to 4,050 pounds per cubic yard (27 X 150). An aluminum or steel ½ cubic yard concrete bucket weighs about 220 and 260 pounds respectfully. A full ½ cubic yard bucket with concrete would weigh-in at 2,285 pounds. That’s within the UH-1’s capacity, under most conditions. At higher elevations moving down to 1/3 cubic yard per turn would put you down around 1,610 pounds.
