Hovergirl Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Just picking up and setting down without all that extra weight is one of the hardest adjustments to make for your solo. Congratulations, and have fun with the rest! HVG Quote
BOATFIXERGUY Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Congratulations! Hovergirl called it right...with your cfi out of the bird, it's a whole different animal at first! Good luck with the rest of your training! john Quote

montu Posted October 10, 2007 Author Posted October 10, 2007 Yea it is definitely a lot different. I used a lot more right cyclic when I pick it up and when I set down left skid touches first. A little weird to get used to. I felt very comfortable though. thanks for all the comments. Jordan Quote

waterway4 Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Just started. I have 3 hours. Two weeks ago I might have thought a hover solo is no big deal. Now I know. Congrats! Quote
montu Posted October 10, 2007 Author Posted October 10, 2007 Are you in the left seat? Yep. Jordan Quote
slick1537 Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Waterway, don't get discouraged, in a few more hours you will have it locked in! Quote
montu Posted October 10, 2007 Author Posted October 10, 2007 (edited) Waterway, You have 3 hours now but add another 10 to that and you will start feeling very confident about your hovering. I have 37 hours btw. I could have hover soloed around 20 hours but I don't fly regularly. I fly once or twice a week if that. I guess my instructor wanted to make sure I was good and ready. I was just like you at 3 hours but like everyone says you will get it sooner or later. Jordan Edited October 10, 2007 by montu Quote
