Will more women become pilots if they find Amelia Earhart wreckage?

If Ameila Earhart's wreckage is found they will put it on display at a museum and aviation in America might see an increase in female pilots. I hope this doesn't happen because we have enough problems in the aviation world as it is. Adding more females in the sky creates more problems. I believe women should fullfill their destiny by staying home and learning how to cook and clean. Thoughts? The link to the article is below...

This actually made me laugh.

I don't know, it was not that creative really. I give it 4/10.

More of a sardonic, exhausted laugh.

All the women I have known to pursue aviation have been successful. If this was an attempt at humor, it failed to come across that way.

Imagine if you had a woman that could cook, clean AND fly! :D

No. Her story is already out there. She has a movie even. A wrecked plane in a museum won't do anymore. It might actually scare some ladies away.

Troll goes hungry.

Yes, but will troll go away. That's the most important question.

Im shocked thats really all you did

This is serious business here which should be discussed. The closet women should be to a rotor system is dusting off a ceiling fan.

Ok bricktop you gonna feed us to your pigs because were not chauvanists? Your not the only guy ritchie movie fan. So why don't you take you dribble elsewhere so the rest of us who care about aviation can learn something?

It's important to have thick skin and a sense of humor. Even if bricktop is being completely serious, you just gotta laugh, roll your eyes, and keep on truckin'.

Now you women want to drive trucks, too? Is there no end to the madness?

"M-m-m-MONSTER TRUCKS"

They say that women can multi-task better than men, but that men can focus on one task better than women. If this is true I would presume that women make better pilots than men because there sure is ALOT of multi-tasking going on.

I always wondered who "they" were.

See, this is part of the problem. You're talking about MONSTER TRUCKS, but not bothering to tell me what day I can see them, or how much kid's seats are.

BT.....are you serious? Even though my gut doubts your sincerity, I will give you the benefit of the doubt just this one time, before I flush your post down the drain.

What is your experience as it relates to flying and female pilots? You started the thread, so back up your position. I respectfully suggest choosing your words carefully. If it is your goal to come here and troll and stir up trouble.......your time here will be short lived.

I do not mind the contrarian (I am one myself)....but you have to be rational and have some level of common courtesy.

In this case I think "they" were Yahoo! News or some other equally unreliable source. In any case, I was careful to say "If this is true..." rather than stating it as a fact. I have seen evidence that both supports and opposes that statement. I believe the article used examples like women being good secretaries and men being good mechanics. I have seen some very talented and accomplished women pilots in my career, some average ones and a few very bad ones. But the same goes for men, just on a larger scale (there are more male pilots out there than female ones). I would say the ratio was probably about the same. I personally don't think gender should be used to discriminate what makes a good pilot. Clearly there is more to it than just that.
